Summer Intern

We are looking for a talented and motivated hedge fund intern to assist the Research Team with ongoing due diligence processes. Duties will include a considerable amount of data collection and file organization, among other qualitative and quantitative tasks. Interns should expect exposure to a variety of hedge fund and managed futures strategies.

Requirements:
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Outstanding writing abilities
• General knowledge of the investment universe (understanding of stocks, bonds, the macro economy, etc.)
• Pursuing a college degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
• Fully competent on Microsoft Office suite of products
• Adept at learning new software

No prior work experience is required, but is desirable.

Sales Assistant

We are seeking a Sales Assistant to help raise assets in the Individual High Net Worth, Family Office and Registered Investment Adviser market segments. Job responsibilities include:

1. Providing strong sales support to a Sales VP to maximize sales productivity, including:

• Handling customer relations issues to assist in both the retention
and acquisition of assets under management
• Speaking directly with existing clients and prospective clients regarding alternative investments
• Prioritizing client/prospect contacts to maximize sales efforts
• Keeping track of sales activities
• Providing clients with access to our proprietary databases, software
and websites
• Planning and implementing follow-up actions with clients and prospects
• Populating our CRM database (GoldMine) with client info
• Drafting sales reports from GoldMine

2. Working closely and collaboratively with the Operations group to ensure that all sales paperwork (subscription documents, wire transfers, wire confirmations, etc.) is processed rapidly and efficiently

Requirements:
• Outstanding professionalism and client-service skills – able to provide “white glove” service to our clients
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability
• Strong ability to:
o Take initiative
o Work both collaboratively and independently
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• High integrity and honesty
• Strong computer skills
• Bachelors degree

A plus:
• Securities licenses - Series 3, 7 and 66
• Experience with:
o Financial services or alternative investments (hedge funds)

Financial Writer

Our client is looking for: A highly talented writer who can help us “build our brand” by raising awareness of the company’s expertise, services, products and people, and further enhance our excellent reputation in the hedge fund industry. Our financial writer will translate complicated hedge fund and financial concepts/data into concise, spirited, engaging narrative for our investor newsletters, websites, brochures, marketing material and other customer communications. S/he also will compose press releases, white papers, and marketing presentations intended for the breadth of our target audience - high net worth investors, broker-dealers, registered investment advisers, and institutional investors.

In addition to having outstanding writing talent, our financial writer must be a master project manager and collaborator. The typical project will involve: (1) Working with our visionary CEO to develop and expand his ideas; (2) collaborating with our Research Dept. to understand the firm’s strategic investment position and receiving supporting data (numbers and tables); (3) drafting the piece and fine-tuning it with the CEO; (4) partnering with our Marketing Dept. on graphics and “look and feel” matters; and (5) working with our Compliance Dept. to ensure that the copy is within regulatory requirements.

Essential requirements for this position are:

• Extensive financial writing experience
• Exceptional ability to write in both a conversational and academic style
• Deep and verifiable knowledge of hedge funds and the investment industry
• Market fluent - must understand and have genuine interest in market events and the current economic landscape
• Computer savvy – MS Office Suite and website technology
• Strong marketing ability (including familiarity with production and distribution)
• Outstanding project management and “execution” skills
• Superb collaboration ability and experience working with assertive personalities
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfort with deadlines and multi-tasking

A degree in Marketing, Communications, PR or Finance is a plus. Knowledge of managed futures also is highly desirable.
